A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from Walla Walla Valley, This perfumey blend is voluptuous and round, filling the mouth with gobs of red and black fruits, and is balanced nicely with a touch of sweet oak. The tannins are approachable and the wine is drinking beautifully. This wine will almost certainly get better with time in bottle, but why wait?!

Basel Cellars Syrah

Produced in miniscule quantities in 2003 (just under 300 cases), this 100% Syrah is a composition of fruit from Basel's estate vineyard, Pheasant Run Vineyard, and Powerline Vineyard, both of which are located in the Walla Walla Valley. This sumptuous wine is red-purple to the rim, with notes of flowers, caramel, spice box, graphite, and vanilla on the nose. The mouthfeel is dense, silky, and bright. The lush flavors of red berries and sweet ripe fruit carry through to the expansive finish.

Benziger Chardonnay Carneros Reserve

A Chardonnay in a rich, complex style. It is full bodied and very fleshy on the palate, with excellent depth of flavor, and a long, mildly oaky finish. It tastes of tropical fruit, peach, lemon, toasted oak, and baked bread. Enjoy with dishes calling for a richer style of Chardonnay, including poached salmon with hollandaise sauce, broiled halibut, crab Louis, or fettucine alla carbonara.

This wine could prove to be immortal! The 2003 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Syrah. It is dark purple/magenta to the rim. The nose is explosive, with aromas of red cherries, raspberries, cola, and mint. The flavors of more sweet red fruits, along with mocha and spicy licorice, are framed by the wonderfully rich mouthfeel, and well integrated, fleshy tannins.

A blend of 56% Merlot and 44% Cabernet Franc, and was aged for 23 months in 1-2 year old French and American barrels. The fragrant nose is reminiscent of sweet plums, raspberry tea, molasses, cinnamon, and mocha. The rich, concentrated mouth has flavors of ripe chocolate-covered cherries and blackberries, and finishes with beautifully integrated tannins. It should easily age for ten years, and perhaps longer.
