Belle Pente Pinot Noir Belle Pente Vineyard

This wine made quite a splash in it's debut vintage: complimentary reviews from a wide range of critics, a top 5 (out of 50) finish in a recent Wall Street Journal tasting of Oregon Pinots. Deep dark fruit flavors and aromas are backed up with firm ripe tannins and good acid balance. Very attractive today, it will only get better with some time in the cellar.

Belle Pente Pinot Noir Estate Reserve

This version is characterized by deep, dark, ripe blackberry and cassis flavors and aromas, enhanced by dried herbs and white pepper. It is a structured, concentrated, and very complex wine, with multiple layers that unfold with each taste. This wine was once again selected for the International Pinot Celebration last summer, where it has been a perennial favorite. We anticipate that this wine will be at it's peak from 2008 to 2012, and will live much longer.

Belle Pente Pinot Noir Murto Vineyard

Since Murto is a cooler site with mature vines (planted in 1978), it tends to really over-perform in warm vintages. In 2002, the grapes attained a high level of maturity which translates into a smooth, silky texture in the wine. The signature Murto spiciness is a bolstered by the ripe fruit character and we expect complexity to emerge as the wine evolves.
